Hertzy Kabeya, is an experienced CEO, business director and entrepreneur. Driven by wanting to solve complex social issues through the use of technology. It was only fitting that he ventured out on his own and established an online learning platform, namely The Student Hub in 2015. He hopes that the business will empower, enrich and inspire those who are looking to further develop their skills and land the job they want.
When he isn’t at the office looking at how to change the way education is done in the TVET sector, you’ll find him enjoying some down time with a good book or slowing down through meditation.
Abhijit Kumar, is a vital member of The Student Hub team as our Head of IT. His responsibilities include modifying and changing features within our platform, website testing, management, and optimisation.
When he isn’t surfing the net, in search of updates in the technological world. You’ll find him listening to music or traveling.
For over 5 years, Joseph Banda has been at the helm of making sure the business’s day-to-day activities run smoothly.
You’d be hard-pressed to find another person who is more in love with strategy than Joseph-from formulating plans to implementing systems and processes. He is your guy! In addition to his primary job functions, he is also interested in green technology…think Tesla, global politics and its social and economic impact. In his down time, he enjoys being out in nature, traveling and likes to stay active with a good game of soccer or tennis.
Tersia Du Plessis
Tersia Duplessis, is an experienced HR and admin manager, with over 30 years of experience in her field. She joined the Student Hub in November 2016 and hasn’t looked back since.
Driven by wanting to give learners the best learning experience. She couldn’t be more proud to have joined a team where improving the lives of millions and making education more accessible is their main aim. A journey that she is very proud of! After a long day at the office, she likes to relax with a good game of chess or scrabble.
Kelebogile Lehase, has been our financial manager for over five months now and has quickly become an integral part of the team.
Before joining The Student Hub, she spent three years at Deloitte South Africa and another five years conquering the concrete jungle of New York City where she was a senior consultant at CrossCountry. She’s experienced in bookkeeping, accounting and financial analysis. When she isn’t reading up on leadership, change management or asset management. She likes to pack a bag and go traveling.
Passionate about marketing, Brandon Le-Chat is the Head of Marketing & Sales for the Student Hub for four months and brings a wealth of expertise and experience with him.
Having worked in the marketing industry for over six years where he was responsible for running a digital ad agency, coordinating sales campaigns, and curating content for social media platforms and websites. He is excited about being a part of an outfit that strives to change the space of online learning and shape the landscape of SA’s education
For over six years, Justin Neves has been successfully managing our sales teams as well as stepping into the role of our Chief Enrollment Officer.
His day-to-day activities include designing and implementing strategic plans that will help us expand our ever-growing customer base, managing recruitment, and motivating our sales representatives-which he does brilliantly. After a long day of work, he likes to de-stress with a good book or reading up on forex trading, psychology, and asset management.
Ingrid Ndlovu, is an experienced campaign manager, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of the Western Cape. As a campaign manager, she is responsible for setting up campaigns, community management, and identifying customer needs.
In addition to these day-to-day responsibilities, her job also includes making sure our customers receive exceptional service. In her downtime, she enjoys exploring art galleries, taking road trips or reading up on money laundering cases, corruption and broadening her knowledge on other forms of economic crimes.
